Huller, cloth, or a magnet

Shop notes, not star ratings. The home-garden strawberry guide is the strawberry paper on Grow. Florida grows strawberries in winter as annuals. A huller does not set a crown. A magnet does not cover a freeze. A shirt is later than both.

Plug transplants keep their root ball and need little establishment water. Bare-root with leaves need sprinkler hours for the first week or two. That is a planting fact, not a kitchen-tool fact. Longer notes stay on Grow.

Kitchen

The huller is the object that meets fruit after pick. If you do not have berries on the counter, wait. Two named hullers are still one job.

Strawberry huller tool
For fruit already picked.

Pull the cap without taking half the berry. Get this.

OXO strawberry huller
Named huller, same job.

Same job, named handle. Get this.

Yard night

Frost cloth is for a night that interrupts a cycle. It does not replace black plastic on the bed. The home-garden strawberry guide says fruit can be interrupted by freezing weather. That is why the cloth exists here, and why it is not a hanger.

Frost cloth
For a freeze night on plants you set.

Cover a clump you mean to keep on a light freeze. Get this.

Door

Test the steel. A strawberry magnet pack is the fruit souvenir. A folded citrus-orange tee is the wrong fruit; use a berry shirt search if cloth is the souvenir. Do not start with a magnet if the bed is empty in October.

Strawberry fridge magnets
Fridge souvenir.

Stick fruit on a steel door. Get this.

Folded T-shirt
A shirt is later than the huller.

A berry shirt only if the souvenir is cloth. Get this.

What to skip

Skip a huller in August if you have no fruit. Skip clear plastic on the bed. Skip pulling plants mid-season because a magnet pack looks like a harvest. Skip mixing blueberry soil and strawberry soil in one trough and calling it a berry bed.

Fruit comes in cycles and can stop for a freeze. That is why cloth exists, and why the home-garden strawberry guide tells you the crop does not run steadily. Camarosa has been most productive in North Florida. Brilliance and Florida127 produce more early in Central Florida. Variety is a planting choice. It is not a huller choice.

A city resin is a place souvenir, shared on purpose. A strawberry magnet pack is a fruit souvenir. Neither sets a crown in October.

Sets: Sets. Grow: Grow. Season: Season. Shop: Shop.

How the objects fail

A huller fails if you buy it in June and the bed is empty until October. Cloth fails if you use it instead of black plastic on a new bed. The home-garden strawberry guide wants the polyethylene for weeds and clean fruit. A magnet fails on a door that will not hold. Plug versus bare-root is a planting choice that decides your first two weeks of water, not which huller to click.

Hull lives on Meet Hull. Shop holds the catalog. Write sales@tabaconda.com if you need a plaque that is not on the wall.
